Middlebury offers a track for students studying studio art, dance, or music in Montevideo. Students not interested in enrolling in a track may opt to participate in our standard, direct-enrollment program.

Students on this track take classes across disciplines at the Universidad de la República (UDELAR) Facultad de Artes. The goal of the Facultad is to nurture artists as both individuals and members of a cultural community through teaching, research, and practice. Students will learn about theoretical approaches and conceptual standards through experiential learning and direct practice in and out of their classrooms. Related activities like workshops and internships bring together individuals from a variety of linguistic, cultural, and professional backgrounds to create spaces where a wide range of expertise and experiences are welcomed.
