Guest Library Cards

The Education Studies Program is pleased to once again offer borrowing privileges to all area teachers who are currently working with or have worked with our program.  This privilege gives access to the Middlebury College Libraries, excluding interlibrary loan services, recalls, media equipment, music CD’s, videos, and electronic subscriptions.

To obtain a courtesy library card, go to the Davis Family Library and tell them that you teach at an area school and ask for a Guest Borrower application form.  Education Studies will provide the library with a list of local teachers who have participated in a field placement in the last year, the circulation desk will check to see if your name is on the list.  If you are not on the list and feel it is a mistake please contact Program Coordinator Trish Dougherty at pdougher@middlebury.edu.

Bring with you a Photo ID. You must apply for and pick up the Library card in person. There will be a ten-book limit and you are liable for all overdue and replacement charges.

Borrowers must agree to the Policies and Ethical Concerns Pertaining to Use of the Library. Borrowing privileges will be revoked if the Libraries determine that the borrower has abused library policies, materials, patrons, or staff.

If you already have a courtesy card, just present it to the Library staff for renewal. If you have not yet but are interested in working with our program please contact the program director.
