The Economics Department has centralized the registration waitlist system for economics courses. This allows students to make just one combined request and allows us to fairly and efficiently prioritize needs so students can enroll in courses they need to progress through their major. STEM OPT
Middlebury’s Economics major qualifies as a STEM major. The CIP code for Economics is 45.0603 (Econometrics and Quantitative Economics).
The STEM Optional Practical Training (OPT) option may allow for a 24-month extension of Optional Practical Training (OPT) for students in certain science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) fields of study who meet all eligibility requirements.
