Application Checklist

  1. Short description of your previous environmental coursework, and/or why you are interested in the Middlebury School of the Environment
  2. One letter of recommendation from a recent professor
  3. College transcript(s)
  4. Application fee: $75 (non-Middlebury students only)
  5. Confirm with your home institution who is responsible for approving summer transfer credit.

Application Deadlines

1st Round Deadline: January 15

2nd Round Deadline: March 15

The application will go live on September 15.

Applicants are recommended to apply early. Applications are reviewed on a rolling basis until the deadline of March 1. Applicants who submit a complete program application by January 15 will be given preference for merit aid and scholarships.

If the deadline has passed, you will not be able to access the application without calling our office at 802-443-5534. Late applications will be considered on a space-available basis and provided that visa deadlines can be met.

Middlebury College’s Annual Safety and Fire Reports contain important information about Middlebury’s safety and security programs, policies and procedures, crime statistics, fire-related statistics regarding student residential facilities, and other fire safety-related information.
