BIPOC Voices, guest speaker on Tuesday March 25th from 12-1pm on Zoom and in McGowan 102.

Join us for an enlightening session with Dr. Nizhoni Chow-Garcia, Interim Associate Vice President of Inclusive Excellence and Tribal Liaison at California State University Monterey Bay. This event is part of the MIIS BIPOC Voices series, which aims to highlight and celebrate the diverse voices and experiences within our community.

Dr. Nizhoni Chow-Garcia will share her unique insights and experiences on fostering inclusive environments and supporting Indigenous communities in higher education. Drawing from her extensive background and leadership within the Diné (Navajo) community, Dr. Chow-Garcia will explore the principles of Hózhó (harmony, balance, beauty) and K’é (kinship, relationships) and how they can be applied to higher education administration. Attendees will gain a deeper understanding of Diné female leadership logic and its relevance to creating inclusive and supportive educational environments.
