CT Faculty/Staff Lunch: Exploring Pedagogical Approaches to Navigating Disagreements in our MIIS Classrooms
This is a faculty and staff only event.
During this Conflict Transformation (CT) Lunch, MIIS faculty and staff are invited to discuss their pedagogical approaches for navigating disagreement(s) in classroom discussions. In the 2023 exit survey, students in every degree program noted feeling confident about engaging with others from diverse cultures. But they expressed less confidence with engaging in disagreements and ‘uncomfortable or difficult” conversations. 1-2 readings will be provided in advance. Participants will learn from one another, engage in discussions about the readings, and identify key areas for further conflict transformation-related professional development in the future.
