The evidence is everywhere that mis/disinformation is a problem for our democracy, for our country, for our world. We know digital platforms spread mis/disinformation at alarming rates. Middlebury’s Office of Digital Learning & Inquiry invites you to learn more about its emerging Informational Environmentalism (or, Info-Environmentalism) initiative. This lunch-time jam session led by Amy Collier, Associate Provost of Digital Learning, is open to anyone who is concerned about the health of our digital information environments (social media, the web). We will explore the polarizing affects of mis/disinformation along with practices, tools, and habits we can employ individually and collectively to take action and curtail this toxic pollution.

We’ll have light refreshments, but bring your lunch and a laptop as a resource.

This is a learning session, so no technical skills or technology required!
