On November 9, 2010, as part of the Presidents Export Control Reform Initiative, the Federal Export Enforcement Coordination Center (E2C2) was established within the Department of Homeland Security. The E2C2 is managed and under the operational control of U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE), Homeland Security Investigations. The E2C2 is the designated focal point for the coordination and enhancement of U.S. Government export enforcement efforts. It serves as a conduit between Federal law enforcement agencies and the intelligence community, as well as the primary point of contact between enforcement authorities and agencies engaged in export licensing, coordinate law enforcement public outreach activities, and establish government-wide statistical tracking capabilities for U.S. criminal and administrative export enforcement activities. Craig C. Healy is the Director E2C2. Mr. Healy has served in a variety of management positions at the federal level throughout his 24 years of government service. Director Healy is seeking interns through the agencys Student Volunteer Internship program. See the announcement in Zocalo Jobs for more information.
