Info Session on January 2025 Global Course in Rwanda
Who: Instructors Marcienne Umubyeyi and Jessica Massie (MIIS alumna) will lead a 2-week training in Kigali with travel to surrounding Rwandan cities on the role of digital transformation in driving resilience in Rwanda and East Africa.
What: Training on digital transformation and development in Rwanda with an emphasis on mobile technologies and development projects in Fintech, AgTech, Health, Education, Sustainability and other sectors. Course will include meetings with governmental, NGO, IGO, and civil society representatives from the private sector and local communities.
Where: 2-weeks at key sites in Kigali, Rwanda with travel to Rwinkwavu and Butare, Rwanda.
When: January 12-25, 2025
Information Session: Friday, September 20 (10-11am PT) in McCone Boardroom
Who: This course is open to MIIS students. The course is specifically designed to serve IPD, MPA, ITED, and TLM students interested in project management, development, and work with IGOs and NGOs.
Application Deadline: Applications due October 1. Notifications sent by October 15.
Davis Collaborative in Conflict Transformation Funding: This course is nearly fully funded by the CT Collaborative at Middlebury. Students will be asked to pay a $250 program fee to confirm their spot in the course. The program fee covers double-occupancy lodging, local transportation, two meals per day, and the cost to deliver the program content.
Accepted participants will receive a set rate of $1,500 to offset the cost of their flight and other transportation/insurance costs.
