Critical Language Awareness in L2 Literacy Instruction: Looking Backward, Outward, and Forward
Dr. Shawna Shapiro will briefly describe the emergence of Critical Language Awareness (CLA), discuss six principles synthesized from extant research, provide examples for its application, and conclude by sharing a checklist to promote CLA-oriented conversations and actions for teachers and administrators.
