Poetry Week 2025: Tending the Earth & Tending Each Other: Opening Ceremony

 We will commence Poetry Week with a native Rumsen Ohlone blessing by Rachelle Daniels, rededication of the Poetry Box by Marie Butcher (aka Boucher), and a special reading by guest poets: Patrice Vecchione, Alice Tao, & Pilar Graham—all of whom are local poets, whose books Ink Knows No Borders, Falling, & My River gently flows are new to the MIIS collection.  We will also be celebrating other new poetry acquisitions and the upcoming publication of Doves Born of Flames: Poems of Peace from Many Lands, edited by Marie Butcher (aka Boucher), Department Head of the EAPP Program at MIIS.
