Open to the Public

Translators for Elders (TFE) is honored to invite Dr. Lusha Liu, co-founder of the Massachusetts General Hospital (MGH) Center for Cross-cultural Student Emotional Wellness, to lead Sweet Life and Sweet Talk: A Discussion on Mental Health and Cross-cultural Training. Since founding the center in 2014, Dr. Liu has been a key figure in addressing the mental health challenges faced by international students, especially those from Asian backgrounds. With over 20 years of experience, Dr. Liu will introduce her “SWEET Life” and “SWEET Talk” models, offering practical tools for managing emotions, navigating cultural differences, and achieving success in both academic and professional settings. This online event will be conducted in Chinese, with multilingual simultaneous interpretation provided by students from the Conference Interpreting Practicum. Whether you’re grappling with cultural transitions or simply interested in mental health, this discussion will provide meaningful insights and effective strategies for personal and emotional well-being. Sign up for the event here: https://forms.gle/y2dwNecG38yjcJ778. Zoom meeting details will be sent to your email prior to the event.

During the speaker’s presentation, we will offer simultaneous interpretation channels in various languages for your convenience. We kindly ask all participants to keep their microphones muted to ensure a smooth experience for both the speaker and the interpreters.
