Celebrate the universal language of the arts: poetry, art, and music, as we amplify voices from the African diaspora and feature the following artists:
• Queen Tay –Poet and activist whose ancestral roots are from Nigeria
• Nicholas Sironka–Batik artist and master storyteller from Kenya
• Ekene Music (Richard/Ekene Nworah–MIIS alum and musician) from Nigeria
• Master Drummer Abdoulaye Diallo (from Senegal) with his performance group Tam Tam Sacrée
+ Open Mic: Bring a poem or musical offering. Open to the MIIS community at large * Co-sponsored by the ICG and African Nations Clubs, Professors Marie Butcher & Rana Issa.
