Weapons of Empowerment: Art for Transformation

Moderated by Kathy Joyce from the Monterey Institute Office of Institutional Advancement, this panel will feature Center for Conflict Studies research fellow, Amy Schwartzott, who will be presenting on programs in Mozambique that collect, disable, and transform weapons of war into pieces of art. Thenmozhi Soundararajan, a Dalit rights activist, filmmaker, and singer will be presenting on the use of media to bring about social justice.
