I am a senior at Swarthmore College doing a double major in Honors Peace & Conflict Studies and Economics. Born and raised in Beirut, Lebanon, I attended the American Community School in Beirut on a Middle East Partnership Initiative Scholarship funded by USAID and graduated with High Distinction and the Presidential Award. After graduating from high school, I received a Diana Kamel Scholarship, which financially supported my higher education at Swarthmore College. In my sophomore year, I was awarded the Lang Opportunity Scholarship to develop and implement The BetterFly Camp, an empowerment project for adolescent refugee girls in Lebanon. Driven by my passion for elevating human potential, I founded a UNICEF club in my sophomore year and was later selected as UNICEF’s Youth Representative and Capital Lead for Philadelphia. I am also an intern/ lead club liaison at the Intercultural Center, a lead coordinator in Dare2Soar, Swat’s largest tutoring program, and a team lead in 180DegreesConsulting.
