Richard Rubenstein

Richard E. Rubenstein is University Professor and a former Director of the Carter School for Peace and Conflict Resolution. A graduate of Harvard College, Oxford University (Rhodes Scholar), and Harvard Law School, he is the author of ten books on the resolution of violent social conflicts, the most recent of which is Conflict Resolution After the Pandemic (Routledge, 2021, with Solon Simmons). A longtime peace activist, his special interests include resolving structural conflicts, religion and conflict, the fate of empires, and contemporary political polarization.
