The Student Council DEI Committee in collaboration with the Sustainability Impact Lab, MIIS Library, Student Services and the KWD Collaborative in Conflict Transformation present the second BIPOC Voices at MIIS speaker event: Ohlone Sisters: Social Justice Through the Eyes of the Native. This moderated question and answer session will be offered in the Irvine Auditorium and via Zoom from 5pm to 6:30pm Pacific. The Ohlone Sisters (Costanoan Rumsen Carmel Tribe) will discuss their far-reaching projects focused on youth engagement, land use, cultural knowledge sharing, and community collaboration in relation to notions of ‘social justice’. Light reception to follow.
