Learn about funded, national security-related opportunities for language study, research, and internships in world regions critical to U.S. interests. The Fellowships Team will be joined by alumnus Patrick Niceforo (IPD ‘16), who is now a Program Officer at the National Security Education Program (NSEP), to discuss the application components, timeline, and options for the Boren Awards.

The U.S. Department of Defense’s Boren Awards offers graduate applicants (Fellows) up to $25,000 for 25-52 weeks, or, up to $12,500 for 12-24 weeks. The Boren Awards also offers pre-designed regional, flagship, language initiatives for French (Senegal), Swahili, Akan/Twi, Wolof, Zulu, Indonesian, Hindi, Urdu, and Turkish.
