Talk Summary:
Iraq has been severely impacted by the presence of ISIS, causing lasting damage. It is important to understand the factors that enabled the group to garner significant societal backing in Iraq, allowing them to capture over one-third of the country’s territory. Additionally, what are the reasons behind the decline of ISIS’s support and how can we assess their current status? Considering the ongoing turmoil in Iraq, the question arises whether ISIS is prepared for a resurgence.
