Monterey Museum of Art Worlds Lecture

Tsherin Sherpa was named 2023 Global Asia Arts Game Changer by the Asia Society for his cultural development work in Katmandu—as well as his extraordinary art work. Sherpa organized the first Tibet pavilion at the Venice Biennale in 2022, was featured in the groundbreaking Awaken exhibit at the Rubin Museum in NYC in 2020. In 2022 a solo exhibit Spirits wasorganized by the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts, and subsequently presented byb the Peabody Essex Museum and Asia Society-Houston.

The museum has extended special rates to the MIIS community - faculty and staff can attend with a special rate of $25 per person and students can attend for $10. Tickets can be purchased on the Museum’s event website.
