A Special Monterey Aquarium PBS documentary!
In 2006, the Monterey Bay Aquarium built its very large deep-water tank. One reason was hoping to get a great white shark to study. This happened, breaking all records with Great Whites, and PBS did a special documentary on it.
It also shows them studying porpoises and sea otters, up close and personal. Did you know our aquarium raises all of its jellyfish, largest collection in the world? They will show you how! We’ll also see how they built the kelp forest, which experts said couldn’t be done. And, they’ll take us underneath the aquarium to show how it all works and why our aquarium is so uniquely alive!
