She is also a nonresident fellow at the Cyber Statecraft Initiative of the Atlantic Council’s Digital Forensic Research Lab. Danielle is also an advisor at Kutoa Technologies, and an adjunct professor teaching Intro to ICS Cybersecurity at Dallas College and developing Cyber-Physical Defense: Automation and OT Security at Middlebury College. Danielle has been responsible for conducting technical, academic, and market research on emerging technologies throughout her career. She has independently consulted for the US government and industry on novel technology applications. She began her career with the Stanley Center for Peace and Security evaluating cyber impacts to nuclear weapons policy. Previously, she contributed to the creation and development of the Stanford Cyber Policy Center at Stanford University and spent time as a senior research analyst and OT cybersecurity strategist before joining CISA.
Danielle lives in Texas with her partner, their daughter, and two dogs. She enjoys tinkering, being outside, playing tennis, traveling, coffee in pretty much any form, and a good book of any genre. Her favorite places to visit are Vienna and Mexico City.
Areas of Interest
Danielle has always been an analyst at heart, interested in how systems and processes affect the world around us and translating technology challenges to explore real-world solutions. Originally entering graduate school as a human rights student, she spent time doing field research in Rwanda, Northern Ireland, and Jordan. She became interested in the realm of cyber-physical infrastructure after her foray into nuclear weapons command and control analysis which led her to learn how different forms of energy were generated, produced, and distributed, and the extension of technologies that form the basis of digital automation and industrial control systems today.
