Allie Wong is a Ph.D. candidate at Columbia University where she examines political and narrative violence of Christian nationalism in the US. Her previous work and research have touched upon far-right extremism, US-Russian relations, Cold War propaganda, information warfare, and social movements. Her work and commentary have appeared in USA Today, NPR, The New York Times, CNN, The Intercept, NBC, and Al Jazeera, among others.

Currently, she serves as the Deputy Director of Open Shadows which centers on exposing extremism within law enforcement and combating unlawful secret policing in the US. She also serves as a consultant for the Middle East WMD-Free Zone Project at the United Nations Institute for Disarmament Research.

She holds an MA in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies, an MA in International Affairs from the Moscow State Institute of International Relations, and a BA in Human Rights, Peace and Nonviolent Activism from New York University.
