The background of the flyer is a picture of outer space. The first line of text reads Join Us For. Underneath that it says Cosmic Encounter a Game of Strategy and Alliance, Friendships Will be Tested. At the bottom it gives the date, time and location. October 1st, 7:00 - 9:00 PM at the MIIS Library.

The Cosmos is calling MIIS tabletop gamers to the library on October first!  From 7-9 PM, Joelle will be running Cosmic Encounter, the game that pits space alien against space alien in a struggle for galactic domination.  Aliens from each universe have unique powers that help them to make (or break) alliances, negotiate deals, and defend their home planets against would-be conquerors.  Will you play the gigantic Macron, for whom one ship counts as four?  Is the cunning Spiff more your style, who has the power to crash land when the battle goes against them?  Perhaps you prefer Vulch, a space alien that salvages artifacts, or Observer, who saves allies’ ships from the dreaded Warp.  Whichever you choose, the first player to colonize five planets in a rival’s universe is the sole winner … unless you decide to share the victory.   Defend your home worlds, make alliances and test friendships in the unpredictable game of Cosmic Encounter.
