A hand underneath the globe with AI artwork and the title: The AI Atomic Gamble: Powering AI's Revolution with a Nuclear Renaissance.
How do you tell a complex energy story in just a few seconds of video, using AI as your creative partner? In this hands-on masterclass, participants will step inside the world of The Atomic Gamble, a documentary exploring AI’s growing thirst for energy and the turn to nuclear power for data centers. Instead of watching a lecture about the film, you’ll build your own micro-documentary inspired by one chapter of its script. Working with AI tools, you’ll learn how to:
  • Use AI to research and fact-check a real-world question: How much energy does AI use?
  • Transform research into a short, clear script for a 3–5 second video
  • Break that script into a simple shot plan
  • Prompt image and video generators to create compelling visuals
By the end of the session, you’ll walk away with a finished 3–5 second AI-generated video that communicates a tiny but powerful story about AI and energy, plus a repeatable workflow you can adapt to your own research, teaching, or creative projects. No prior experience with AI or filmmaking is required.
Just bring your curiosity, a laptop, and a willingness to experiment. Watch the AI Atomic Gamble documentary: https://youtu.be/6EzJxR5-k0E Watch the trailer: https://youtu.be/ko6DunQHrT4
