Professor Stewart is a lawyer in the San Francisco Bay Area. He has practiced in law firm and in-house settings.
At the Institute, he teaches Legal Aspects of Compliance, which is an introduction to American legal systems, business organizations, compliance programs, and select key US and non-US laws that motivate business organizations to implement compliance programs.

From a practical perspective, Professor Stewart emphasizes critical skills like communication, public speaking, open source research, and understanding organizational culture and business models.
Academically, Professor Stewart is interested in cybersecurity, corruption, financial crime, and privacy law.
