Danika Robison

I grew up in the Green Mountains of Vermont, and graduated from Skidmore College with a degree in international affairs and government. Over the past several years, I’ve lived and worked in highland Ecuador and the Andean region, where I served as a program and volunteer coordinator. Through my work there with the Tandana Foundation, I collaborated with indigenous communities to realize their vision for infrastructure projects, and supported student groups through immersive exchange programs. I also worked for the Traveling School, leading academic semester programs in South America and Southern Africa, while teaching place-based history, global studies and Spanish. Currently, I am studying public administration, and in the future I plan to focus on programming and policy that supports historically underserved communities. I believe strongly in offering accessible educational opportunities that allow students to question perceptions of both oneself and the world around us. SPP is an exciting means of continuing to develop my insights into the structures of power that create societal divisions, and how reconciliation and trauma healing can further equity and justice both in our home communities and international communities.
