Erin Petersen

As Practitioner and Manager, Erin Petersen is a key member of the Communications and Operations Team at Greenleaf Integrative who is involved in operations, client delivery and account management, content/asset development, and business development. Before joining Greenleaf Integrative in 2018, Erin worked for over a decade in medical education at Georgetown University Hospital where she managed the operations for the Department of Medicine student clerkship, medical resident, and fellowship programs. In this capacity, Erin collaborated with various national organizations such as the National Institutes of Health, the ACGME, and the AAIM. Additionally, Erin has served in consulting roles to outside educational and healthcare organizations. Having presented at national conferences, Erin brings expertise in the healthcare space around stress management, burnout prevention, and self care resiliency measures. She also has experience as a clinical mental health counselor specializing in trauma and psychological first aid for distressed persons. Prior experiences include working with gold star families as well as chronically and acutely sick patients and their families as well as supporting distressed medical staff. Erin holds a Master of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling as well as a Master of Education both from Regent University in Virginia Beach, Va as well as a Bachelor of Arts in History from Bridgewater State University in Bridgewater, Mass. She also has additional training in field trauma and psychological first aid through the Green Cross Academy of Traumatology. What inspires Erin? “I am always inspired when I am afforded the opportunity to help people make forward progress no matter how big or small. I love to ask how I can help someone move from point A to point B and then walk alongside them on the journey until they arrive there.”
