Glenn E. Robinson

Glenn E. Robinson has authored or co-authored four books on Middle East politics and security, and has published over 150 articles, book chapters, government reports and conference papers.  His most recent book, Global Jihad: A Brief History (Stanford University Press), was recognized as a “Best Book of 2021” by both Foreign Affairs and Foreign Policy journals.  Robinson comes to CTEC after a 30-year career at the Naval Postgraduate School, where he retired in December 2021 as Professor of Defense Analysis.  Robinson earned his PhD from the University of California at Berkeley and remains affiliated with Berkeley’s Center for Middle Eastern Studies.  More information on Dr. Robinson can be found at glennerobinson.com.
