Jenelle Davis is a Cybersecurity program faculty member and subject matter expert. Her cybersecurity career began in a security operations center for a major telecommunications organization. After which, she worked as a lead consultant and consulting manager for a security consultancy and concurrently began teaching in academia at leading institutions of higher learning throughout the United States.
She has lectured at Harvard University Extension School, Harvard Summer School, Brandeis University - Graduate Professional Studies, Duke University Continuing Studies, and UC Berkeley Extension. Through her company, DLS, LLC, she has developed cybersecurity curricula for textbook publishers, licensure organizations, government agencies, and higher education institutions.
She continues to teach graduate students in computer science and cybersecurity.
Areas of Interest
Jenelle has served as a software security evangelist and is interested in exploring the role of AI and its convergence with the Internet of Things (IoT) and mobility to safeguard information assets. She is fascinated by emerging technologies and exploring innovative ways they can be used to solve problems. She is energized to develop the next generation of cybersecurity practitioners.
Jenelle’s areas of expertise include software encryption, application security, secure coding, intrusion analysis, security operations, and risk management. She holds active CISSP, CSSLP, CISM, CISA, and CDPSE certifications.
