Jennifer Peck has taught English as a Second Language (ESL) at the Institute since graduating from MIIS with an MA in Teaching English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL) in 2010. She has taught courses ranging from academic preparation to courses for beginners in all skills. 

In 2017, she made the shift to administration, starting as the Academic Coordinator of Executive and Custom Programs at MIIS. In her role as coordinator, Jennifer has supported the development and execution of multiple group programs for professionals seeking to improve their language proficiency in various fields such as translation, interpretation, cybersecurity, and journalism, offered online and in-person. Additionally, she has coordinated many one-on-one custom language programs offered online and in person for individuals from all sorts of backgrounds and language abilities. 

Before coming to Monterey, Jennifer completed her BA in Comparative Literature in Paris, at the American University of Paris. This experience provided her with an understanding of what it means to be immersed in another culture, allowing her to be compassionate with her international students today.
