I am from Cambodia. I was born and lived there until the age of 13. I attended public schools in Cambodia until grade 8, when I received a scholarship to study in UWC of South East Asia - East Campus in Singapore. While at UWC I was part of planning an Initiative for Peace (IfP) conference in Thailand, where we facilitated a conflict resolution and youth empowerment conference for youth from Thailand and Myanmar. After graduating high school at UWC in 2016, I took a gap year where I went back home to organize the first IfP conference in Cambodia. In addition to working on IFP, I also worked with an NGO in Cambodia in helping teaching English and writing grant proposals. I also spent half of that year working with UWCSEA’s outdoor education program, assisting outdoor trips with students and outdoor education staff to Malaysia and Thailand. Since 2017, I have been attending Luther College in Northeast Iowa, with an International Studies major, focusing on Peace Studies. I enjoy meeting new people, connect with other peacebuilders and collaborating on projects relating to youth empower and social service.
