Martina Ferguson is a dedicated education professional with 20 years of experience in higher education administration, human resources, and teaching. She has experience in employee management, recruitment, and organizational transitions. With a Master’s in Adult Education from the University of Central Oklahoma, Martina combines her educational background with practical experience to excel in various roles. She is currently pursuing a Doctor of Education (EdD) at the University of Arkansas, further demonstrating her commitment to lifelong learning and educational leadership. Martina’s career spans multiple institutions, including the University of Oklahoma, Oklahoma City Community College, Rose State College and now Middlebury. Her roles have encompassed senior program management, office management, financial coordination, and adjunct professorship in English Composition and Philosophy.
As an adjunct professor, Martina has consistently shown her passion for education by instructing courses in English Composition and Philosophy. She balances administrative duties with teaching responsibilities to contribute to ongoing student success. Martina continues to contribute to the field of education through her ongoing doctoral studies and her current program manager role, where she facilitates organizational growth and employee development in the evolving landscape of higher education.

Martina strives to be a dedicated educator with a profound passion for continuing and adult education. Drawing from nearly a decade of experience teaching English Composition, she has honed her skills in nurturing students’ writing abilities and fostering their creative potential. Her primary goal is to make a lasting impact by empowering learners to discover and cultivate their unique voices as writers.
Her commitment to education extends beyond her current role, as she pursues an EdD from The University of Arkansas. This will allow Martina to delve deeper into the field of adult and lifelong learning, where she aspires to contribute significant research findings. By bridging her practical teaching experience with scholarly inquiry, she aims to enhance educational practices and further support adult learners in their academic and personal growth. Through her combined efforts in teaching and research, Martina strives to advance the field of adult education, ultimately creating more inclusive and effective learning environments for students of all ages and backgrounds.
