Advancement Operations and Stewardship Officer
Molly Laughlin provides operational and administrative support for the Advancement Office in Monterey, including supporting the Director in donor and prospect-related activities, tracking and documenting all contact with donors and prospective donors, participating in development of a comprehensive donor stewardship plan in collaboration with the Donor Relations and Alumni Relations teams, and supporting Institute events.
A second-generation native San Franciscan, she has lived on the Monterey Peninsula for more than 20 years. Prior to coming to MIIS, she was Deputy City Clerk for the City of Carmel-by-the-Sea, worked for seven years in the Recreation Department for the City of Pacific Grove, and four years as Membership Director of the Pacific Grove Chamber of Commerce. She received a BA in Political Science from St. Mary’s College of California and an MA degree in Journalism, with an emphasis in medical writing, from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
