Roger O'Farril

Roger O’Farril is an information technology (IT) professional with over 20 years of experience in a wide variety of areas with a specific focus on cloud computing and cybersecurity. Currently, he is a cybersecurity leader in the financial sector, where he is heavily involved with defensive cloud security, covering a wide array of areas from architecture to operations.
Areas of Interest
Besides being a lifelong IT and cybersecurity practitioner and leader, Roger started in higher education as an adjunct professor in 2018, fueled by his passion to help shape new professionals in the cybersecurity space. His focus is on augmenting students’ experiences by bringing his lessons learned from the field into the classroom. He gives back to the community by giving public talks on different cyber and cloud security topics.
His areas of expertise include security architecture, incident response, threat hunting, vulnerability management, insider risk, and more.
