SY Bowland

SY Bowland,  was born and raised in Harlem, New York.  She is known for her contributions in Conflict Resolution and Restorative Practices. She has been an educator, trainer, organizer, facilitator, and practitioner.  She is a Co-Founder of Practitioners Research and Scholarship Institute (PRASI:  http://www.prasi.org/

Click to follow link.”>www.prasi.org) which is a collaboration of multi-real people in the world of conflict Resolution and Peacemaking.   She has helped to organized - The National Conference on Peacemaking and Conflict Resolution; Coedited and contributed to an anthology of writings by practitioners in the field of conflict resolution working for social justice.  The publication is Re-Centering: Culture and Knowledge in Conflict Resolution. SY has served on the Faculty of Tuskegee University, Columbia College, and Morehouse School of Medicine Family Practice Development program. She credits her most valuable education from the streets of Harlem, NY
