Although I was born in the U.S., I spent half of my childhood in New Zealand and call myself blessed to have two homes. My family is very involved in our town, and this has instilled in me the goal to always invest in the people around me and seek to positively contribute to my community.

Growing up overseas gave me an interest in exploring other cultures, so after high school, I spent a gap year in Europe. I was based in Hungary and was able to travel extensively throughout Central and Eastern Europe. My most memorable experiences happened when I spent the winter of 2013-2014 in Ukraine as Euromaidan and the revolution began. I remain fascinated by what I witnessed and hope to learn how to actively assist in transitions of power and civil change.

I am currently a rising senior at the University of California, Berkeley. I chose to major in English because strong critical thinking and communication are necessary in our increasingly technology-based world. My minor in Public Policy provides a practical application for the theoretical skills I am learning. I am constantly inspired by the diverse student body I study alongside and look forward to expanding my perspective at SPP this summer.
