I was raised as an only child in a single parent household while being raised by proud Mexican grandparents. My grandfather is from Aguascalientes and my grandmother is from Campeche. My mother was raised in Mexico City. I was raised binational, meaning I grew up on both sides of the U.S.-Mexico border. While my mother was completing her residency, my grandparents raised me in a bicultural and bilingual environment. I studied at the University of California-Davis for my B.A. and I studied at the University of San Francisco for my M.A. I will be a second semester International Policy and Development student at MIIS. I have an extensive background working at different nonprofits. I am passionate about advocating for those who are discriminated against. My travels around the world include: most of North, Central, and South America, Europe, parts of Asia and Africa, Australia, and New Zealand. I have played the piano, flute, violin, trumpet and recorder. I have two dogs-Estrella, a German Shepherd, and Pirata, a Saint Bernard.
