Dr. Ximena Ospina is a proud immigrant, educator, and storyteller with over 13 years of experience across higher education, international education teams, and social change organizations. Dr. Ospina is dedicated to healing and strengthening our global community through restorative justice, innovation, compassion, and collaboration. Her work centers on building bridges and opportunities where minoritized communities and students are integral to creating and thriving in international education. In May 2024, she earned her Doctorate in Educational Leadership, with her dissertation, “The Latinx/e Student Cuentos of Rupture to Nurture: Understanding the Study Abroad Reentry Experience through Generational Dreaming,” focusing on student cuentos. As a dynamic educational consultant, Dr. Ospina leverages her expertise in coalition building, equitable practices, and impactful dialogues to drive transformative change.
