A June 29, 2011 Associated Press story “White House unveils retooled plan to hunt Al-Qaeda” by Kimberly Dozier about the new U.S. national counter-terrorism strategy quotes Retired Brigadier General Russ Howard, alumnus and adjunct professor at the Monterey Institute. The story was widely published in the national media, for example by CBS News, NPR and USA Today.

Russ Howard is the founding director of the Combating Terrorism Center at the U.S. Military Academy. This fall he returned to the Monterey Institute where he received his master’s degree in Business Administration in 1974 to teach courses on counter-terrorism and human trafficking. He is profiled in the newest publication of the Communiqué.
