Associate Dean Academic Operations
Toni Thomas is the Associate Dean of Operations and chairs the MPA, MA in International Policy and Development, and MA in International Trade programs. Toni previously served as the MBA Academic Advisor/Program Coordinator for the Fisher Graduate School of International Business at the Institute. She holds a BBA from University of Toledo, OH, and an MBA from the Institute, where she focused on Cross-Cultural Marketing and International Marketing Research. Toni served as a Small Business Development Advisor with the US Peace Corps in Costa Rica. She has prior professional experience in the hospitality industry, interactive television, banking, and wine industry.
Her current role as Assistant Dean encompasses the day-to-day operations of the School, including the ongoing integration of the former business school and former policy school at the Institute, working on curriculum development and program management with a Council of Program Chairs for the six degree programs and numerous certificates offered through the School, and managing the AACSB maintenance of accreditation process. Toni also acts as project manager for the Assessment of Learning activities across all programs at Monterey, collaborating with colleagues at Middlebury College for reporting to accreditation agencies.
