What is Land Acknowledgement?
One of CoLab’s institutional homes, the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS), has been undertaking a process for the last two years, of fostering relationships with Indigenous communities who call the Monterey peninsula their home. Land Acknowledgement is just one result that has begun to emerge from this relationship. CoLab aims to support these efforts to continue to deepen ties and engage in more restorative justice practices in the future.
