TAMC Fellowship

A Community-Driven Collaboration for Language Access and Engagement
The TAMC Fellowship is a long-term partnership between the Middlebury Institute of International Studies (MIIS) and the Transportation Agency for Monterey County (TAMC). Through this collaboration, MIIS students, faculty, and staff work together on projects that promote language inclusion, community engagement, sustainability, and livability across Monterey County.
Fellowship Spotlight:
The TAMC fellowship, established through a partnership between MIIS and the Transportation Agency for Monterey County, connects students with local professionals to advance language access and community engagement. With the support of Professor Gabriel Guillén, MIIS Fellows Joey Hebl and Kareem Tinto produced a bilingual educational resource supporting a sidewalk mural project in East Salinas that encourages safe walking routes to school.
