In just five short years, the Middlebury Institute’s Center for the Blue Economy has assembled a world-class team dedicated to connecting leaders in industry and policy with the science of our sea.
Two recent alumnae and one student from the Middlebury Institute’s International Environmental Policy program have been awarded the prestigious California Sea Grant Fellowship.
“I felt like a thousand candles were lit, inspiring people to help save our oceans,” said one audience member at Wednesday evening’s event with legendary marine biologist, author, and ocean activist Sylvia Earle, hosted by the Middlebury Institute’s Center for the Blue Economy.
Middlebury Institute alumnus Frank Reynolds encountered sharks, dolphins, and jellyfish on a record-setting team swim across the Monterey Bay to raise money for Lewy body dementia research.
