Exit Counseling
All students are required by the federal government to:
- Complete exit counseling when you leave school
- Report if you are taking less than 6 credits during a semester
- Report if you are no longer receive federal funds
Exit Counseling Requirement 1
Each semester the Financial Aid Office conducts an exit information session that goes over the loans, responsibilities, and benefits that you may receive as a borrower of Federal Direct or Federal Graduate PLUS Loans. We encourage all students to attend this session to increase successful repayment of your federal loans.
Exit Counseling Requirement 2
In addition to attending this session, ALL students are required to complete Exit Counseling Online. Students will be required to take a quiz after reviewing each stage of the counseling.
*Make sure that you have contact information for three different personal references.
**The Records Office will put a hold on your official academic transcripts and/or diploma if you fail to complete the online exit counseling.
Federal Perkins Loans
Federal Perkins Loans require a second Online Exit Interview. You will need references in order to complete this session as well.
