Loan Repayment & Exit Counseling
If you have borrowed from the Federal Direct Loan and/or Direct Graduate PLUS Loan programs and you are graduating, on a leave of absence, or enrolled less than half-time, federal regulations require you to complete loan exit counseling, which provides borrowers with information about loan repayment.
Complete Exit Counseling
You may complete Student Loan Exit Counseling online at Federal Student Aid.
- Log in with your FSA ID.
- You will need to provide updated contact information, information regarding next of kin, and two separate personal references.
- Middlebury will be notified electronically when you complete the process.
Loan Repayment Information Session
Student Financial Services offers a Loan Repayment Information Session each semester. During the session, Student Financial Services will review the federal loan repayment plans in detail, and will discuss the pros and cons of each one. We also discuss the Public Service Loan Forgiveness program and your rights and responsibilities as borrowers. All Middlebury Institute students are welcome to attend the session. Information about the session is sent to all students by email in April and November each year.
