March 4 satellite imagery at the nuclear test site at Punggye-ri, which shows construction of a new building, repair of another building, and what is speculated to be lumber and sawdust.

USA Today reports that Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies Professor Dr. Jeffrey Lewis and Senior Research Associate David Schmerler observed construction at a North Korean nuclear test site that has been closed since 2018.

Analysis conducted by the James Martin Center for Nonproliferation Studies (CNS) shows possible activity at a formerly closed nuclear test site in Punggye-ri, North Korea. Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies Professor Dr. Jeffrey Lewis and Senior Research Associate David Schmerler say this is the first activity they have seen at the site since May 2018. Satellite imagery provided to CNS by Maxar showed early signs of activity, including construction of a new building, repair of another building, and what may be lumber and sawdust.
