CTEC Director and Middlebury Institute professor Jason Blazakis was recently quoted by Spanish newspaper El Diario on the rise of far-right and white supremacy extremism.
 
“Since the Vietnam War, supremacist movements have tried to recruit individuals with military experience. Given that many of these groups believe there will be a ‘race war’, it makes sense to prepare for that violent confrontation,” Explains Blazakis. “To achieve that goal, there is no better place to recruit than in the U.S. Army,” he adds.
