MIIS Graduate & retired U.S. Army Special Forces Green Beret Chuck Woodson joins CTEC as part-time Senior Research Fellow.

CTEC is proud to announce Chuck Woodson as the newest addition to their extensive team of researchers. Chuck graduated from MIIS with a BA in International Policy Management and an MA in Nonproliferation and Terrorism Studies. He is a retired U.S. Army Special Forces “Green Beret” Chief Warrant Officer Four with twenty-four plus years of service.

During his time at MIIS, Chuck co-founded the Special Operations Research Database (SORD) project with Professor Orion Lewis from the Middlebury College in Vermont. SORD gathers personal interviews of those that have experience in Special Operations Forces (SOF), focusing on “lessons learned,” where there are opportunities to improve military doctrine and/or policy. Since partnering with CTEC, SORD has become one of the main pillars of the Center as well as a research practicum for students since spring of 2018.
