The annual fall Student Community Resource Fair at the Middlebury Institute offered students the opportunity to connect with dozens of local organizations and businesses offering both services and potential job opportunities.
Middlebury Institute alumnus Naqib Ahmad Khpulwak, an assistant professor of law at the American University in Kabul, Afghanistan, was among the 16 students and faculty killed in a terrorist attack on the campus on August 24.
Arriving this week for orientation activities, the fall incoming class at the Middlebury Institute of International Studies includes citizens of 45 countries.
“Being here, being part of history in the making… is simply unbelievable,” says Middlebury Institute alumnus Weihao Zhang MACI ’14, part of large team of alumni, faculty and students interpreting at the Rio Olympics, continuing a tradition that has spanned fifteen Games.
Dr. Elaine Korzak is excited about the opportunities ahead for the next generation of cyber policy experts as she takes over leadership of the Middlebury Institute’s Cyber Initiative.
Providing a lens into rewarding summer experiences, six students shared images from their adventures gaining valuable professional experience in Thailand, Costa Rica, Minnesota, China, South Korea and Brazil by taking over the Middlebury Institute’s Instagram feed.
